My name is Ms. Darice Robbs and I am your child’s teacher for the 2018-2019 school year. This is my eleventh year at Dr. Pollack Academic Center of Excellence. I have high expectations for my students this year. This is going to be a fantastic year filled with learning and new experiences. I would like to take a few moments to tell you about my teaching style and myself.
Originally, I am from Topeka, Kansas as well as the oldest of five children. It was during this time of my life my love for children began to develop. This love became my desire to motivate and challenge young people to maximize their full potential.
I received my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Vocal Music at Mississippi Valley State University in May of 2003. In June 2008, I completed my Master of Arts and Teaching Degree with certification in Elementary Education from the University of Phoenix. I am currently working on Doctoral Degree from Walden University.
My philosophy of teaching in short is simple; I believe that all children can learn in a safe and comfortable environment. My goal is to ensure that each child has a successful year and is prepared to meet the challenges of their life-long learning experiences.
As your child’s teacher, I need you to be an active team player in this journey. I am a firm believer that it still "takes a village to raise a child." Your involvement in your child’s learning is crucial.
I look forward to working with you to ensure that your child reaches his/her potential. It is my desire that this classroom to be a family, so feel free to call or email if you have any questions, comments, or concerns.
